My portfolios location

My apologies if this post is late but the address to my portfolio is http://im-a-cat-i-drink-milk.blogspot.com/ I noticed a lot of people had links directly to theirs from Dr.D blog and thought it was automatic but I never received any comments. My portfolio blog was made a different date than this one.

What I want most in the world

If there is one think I want in the world it is to become a cat. The reasons for this is that cats, unlike humans, live life the easy way and just sit there until they die with no problems, free food, and absolutely no responsibility. I wouldn't go in great lengths to reach this goal considering I've already lived most of my life being human. If I was a cat then not only would it be giving up, but it would be giving up and becoming a cat to leave the rest of your cat life remembering you gave up.

In The Lord of The Flies Ralph wanted to be saved and he went into the lengths of losing the lives of his friends and putting his own at risks as well as other great dangerous things. Tambu wanted to graduate school and she went through a load of bulimic friend stuff and arguing to be able to live her life and graduate. They are influencing people.

Poem for poetry

I ate broccoli today
I ate no broccoli today
there is not really a difference
you can take both as a sentence
and be unaffected either way
Their could be people in Pluto
straight from the city of Maputo
but the people are like kittens
acceptable until claws come out their mittens

This poem makes no sense so I'll clear things up
The silly salamanders salary is enough to buy salad
but salamanders are greedy and would rather take showers
the salamander doesn't care about eating healthy food
he's doesn't care about hygiene either, it's only in the mood.
So that is all I would like to say
thank you for the wonderful day
that was just a joke and this is a free verse saying i was lying.

I didn't do this one post so I'm making it up. Reading Response time.

It is totally quite possible that I have just started to actually read the Catcher in the Rye. Mostly because I did just start and I would like to say that I find it so incredibly obnoxious the way he words some things. Like he will say "That killed me" on like every page and if he was talking about eating icecream he would say "The ice cream was really good. It really was. The cashier gave me a crumby smile". As a matter of fact I really think that I just quoted a chapter I haven't gotten to yet because I'm about halfway through.

Beside him talking like that I don't know why but I actually sort of like the book. It's one of the most uneventful books ever written and I feel like the way it's said just makes it seem like a time well spent. Maybe it's because it's so full of detail. He will go on about how nail clippings on the floor bother him; "they really do" he would say. But I feel like it's told so slow that I lose track of whats going on. There was a point in the book where he spent about a whole page talking about how hard he punched someone and the next one he says he was bleeding and the next he says he was sorry and it's just unnecessarily long like dragon ball z. But I don't really know. It sort of adds to the story. It's better than other books I've read. The only thing I really don't get is why did he kill John Lennon?

Analyzing a Song

The song I picked was Subterranean Homesick Blues by Bob Dylan because it hasn a large amount of rhymes and descriptions and it's also pretty school appropriate. The lyrics are here: http://www.lyricsfreak.com/b/bob+dylan/subterranean+homesick+blues_20021303.html
The first thing that I want to compliment about the song is the title has good worse use because the writer makes it apparent that it's a bluesy subterranean song about being homesick. Or it could mean his home was subterranean, I'm not sure. The song itself is sung without many pauses or taking breathes. A whole verse in the song is an enjambment itself it seems. The way he uses this technique makes the song sounds like he's going on and on and on in a bouncy non stop rhythm. This makes the song sound less bluesy than a normal blues song would because it's sped up and has more energy in it.

There is a good bit of assonance in the song and it sort of changes by the verse. Thoughout the song as a whole; however, he seems to constantly makes the aye and eh sounds when using vowels by his dialect. Examples for aye and eh being; laid , paid, basement, pavement, says, Johnny (john-eh) medicine, way, friend, eleven, face, bed, anyway, say, they, May, DA, better, stay, away, plain, wheather, well, hang, sell, tell, jailed, bailed, fails, and a good bit more and he uses a few of these words multiple times like well and way. As far as consonance go he uses g and k an awful lot but I'm not gonna list a huge page of examples to spare time so just trust me with this one.

Enjambment also occurs in this song especially before the chorus (not necessarily a chorus because it changes wording each time). He will be talking about what's happening in a home and it suddenly goes to the "look out kid" line. It seems as when the song moves on that becomes more common and happens almost every 2 lines and the subject totally changes to another character. There is also only very few lines that don't have a rhyme. The one I especially have that sticks out the most is "The pump doesn't work, the scandals took the handles". Which is just a noticeable free verse in the entire song. Just saying.

I read all that stuff give me 40 extra points pls

I need the grade...... CONTINUING ON: Yea, so basically this old lady totally screwed up and now she will probably get sued for all of her money, way to go, but let's not stop there. This is one of those old lady moments like whenever you spill your coke in the mall and someone else has to clean it up because you're just an elderly person who can't properly function. Well guess what Jane, I know your secrets, I've thought about this too. Blame everything on something that is just a 'silly mistake' and try to look all sweet and innocent but it's not working.
I really think she could of at least changed it up a little bit, like I know she did for a few but the article says a lot of it is just straight up stolen. She shouldn't be corrected for it, she should write something herself. I honestly really don't care that much if you plagiarized just as long as you didn't sell large copies of the book. Just correct it as soon as you can and it will be all right. I mean.. she IS a nice old lady, give her a break.

mamamamamamamamaMAMAMA revisions ma'lady

So without being totally aware of it I actually am somewhat improving. Not that I think I'm doing as best as I ever will this year cause IT'S GONNA CHANGE ok. But seriously back in the day when the school year first started I was just like "you know what, we're all gonna die anyway, I'm gonna be a bum" but not literally and uhm yea so basically I realized the way I wrote made absolutely no sense and in a way I am improving like I said it's just that I have horrible punctuation and I am making a lot of run on sentences right now but you know what I don't care I'm going to make this whole paragraph a run on sentence so I can say that not only were my old papers not in time but they were horrible as well and now I only have one of those problems which is turning in papers on time.
Honestly I don't really know what I'm going to do for that overview portfolio thing. Like I really don't want to lie and all I have to say is that now I don't suck as much with writing serious papers I THINK but I mean come on I am so lazy I can not turn in anything on time. Watch that overview thing be in when I'm a senior. No that's a joke, I'm actually going to turn that one in. I will make myself do it, ok. I WILL ACHIEVE IT.

Defending Nervous Conditions

So the question is if this should be in our 9th grade syllabus. I'm not entirely sure what that is so I'm just gonna wing it like Will Smith. Gonna guess it's something you cover in school like how you need to do addition problems in 1st grade. So I think that any book is necessary. You have to read books in English class because it's part of it even though most kids don't like it it's just there.

Because I should be writing about what IS good about that let's get to it. There's a lot to it that makes it such a big thing to teacher. First off books obviously have examples of what grammar should look like and because many people don't read so much it's a good thing to get them to. It's just a way of teaching that is much less stressful for the teacher, like instead of having to go over the difference between of "your" and "you're" for 12 years it is just right in your face and you don't got to teach it cause it's already there.

Adding to this there is more to do than just look at grammar. Usually you're tested on the book which is a good practice for future jobs because you start to pay more attention to what you are reading because you know it'll affect it you later and it can help with planning ahead skills. Most the time you won't pick up a book 20 minutes before the class and finish the chapters you were supposed to 5 days ago. It's also overall just a long term thing that has to do with english because like I said before, without reading a book you are just teaching prepositions year after year and everyone already knows these things by then. If you also write papers on what you are reading it helps with your writing. As far as the book itself I sort of think it's fine to read. A book about a girls life in Africa isn't anything better than a book about a man who goes fishing for squirrels. It as has the same academic advantages.

Although I think reading can help an English class I really think some things are not that were involved in the project. Such as annotating. I really don't think help anything, they just make me a more blunt person. Because you can't make comments on everything in a book like that, it's just difficult. It's also kind of pointless to me how you have to relate outside sources to what you are reading. I honestly don't think watching Kony 2012 is going to help with anything. I honestly couldn't care less about Kony. It might just be me and I might be considered evil for thinking or something but it pulls no interest out of me on what goes on in Africa. I'm just saying. I think reading on Tambu's part of the story and not Kony's is a more respectable thing to do as well. Not all of Africa is starving children. Not even 5% of it is. I just don't see the point. That is all.

Okay so uh.. How bout that chapter 7?

Alright alright, so get right if you can't relate. Let's relate to chapter 7th setting and stuff. Alright so it's no secret that Tambu's circle of social is sort of dysfunctional. Unlike her, my circle of friends usually don't full out fight each other like the ones in this book. Usually we just hang out and be cool but you know. Many of my friends usually talk outside school considering now that I'm in highschool I practically never see them, whether we meet at concerts or a house or wherever. Tambu unlike me doesn't have those luxuries but I'm gonna move on. Her school seems to be sucky. And by sucky I mean it is really sucky. She has to chillax in a room with only other Africans, but although that sounds somewhat reasonable due to the foreign thing, they are a little too old/young for each other. I guess a lot of people know what that's like having brothers and sisters but these were just random people they didn't even know. Like, when one was doing there mature stuff the others where doing their naive not mature stuff. It really grinds my gears when I was younger and people older than me were bossy and thought they were more mature but now it grinds my gears when younger people won't shut up and go get trampled my a stampede of people in a mall new opening. So I get why that would be horrible.

FA FA FA FA FA FAREE POST #SWAG

Alright, so this is a freepost right? So I can talk about whatever? Ok, I'm down with it. Let's talk about "swag". So to my understanding when a person has swagger he or she must wear snapbacks and use all their parents money. I personally think that telling someone they have swag is not a compliment. I especially hate it when someone hashtags it somewhere, like they take a picture of their breakfast and say #waffleswag or #scrambledeggswag #twerkteam. That really rustles my jimmies.

Although many of the swaggiest individuals are obnoxious and annoying and really jack my swag I actually kind of like Based God. Not because he has good music but because of how funny he is, like how his lyrics go "swag to the maximum, swag a hundred trillion". I just... I think that's funny.. That is all.

Nyasha

WHAT I THINK I KNOW ABOUT NYASHA is that she wants to be like Michael Jackson. She wants to be bad, is basically what I'm saying. She smokes just for the purpose of it looking cool and I BELIEVE she is the one reading the book their father is completely against her reading. But that may be Tahmo. I'm not really sure. All the names are so similar and it's confusing. But back on Nyasha, I believe she loves to dance, unlike Tahmo who for some reason just wont dance with her. So, Nyasha is a cigarette smoking, dancing, wanna be bad girl who is the cousin of Tahmo. Is she the cousin of Tahmo? Can someone tell me please, I'm lost.

The layered project

Ok, so basically I spent practically my entire lifetime on this first layer. I was just totally out of it the first few days and I was just like "You know what, I'm gonna do this later" but then, later comes and you're like "You know what, why did I just do that?" You know what I'm saying? So as I move forward I need to improve on basically everything, especially timing. The more I work the faster it gets done. Basically I can get just a little confused with the wording of something and I completely avoid diving into beginning a task. LIKE YOU KNOW, you start off not wanting to do something but then when you DO do it you can't stop and it's not as bad as you were thinking. That's me almost entirely. Like this blog itself I was just thinking "I don't know what to write" or "I don't feel like logging in" but when you do it all comes to you kind of. SO LONG STORY SHORT I just need to get what I need to do, and do it. The End.

What's up

Basically what has been up to the Indian project is that I've been learning more about them as the day goes on. SURPRISINGLY to me you learn a whole lot more about it when you have a project on it. I'm not sure if it's pure coincidence or I've been missing something. But anyway, I've got a bit of a larger idea of what I'm gonna be doing from the annotated bibliography. I'm going to start soon like maybe tomorrow but when I say that I am not lying I am committed. It's like people diet and they say "tomorrow I will begin my diet" and they don't do it. So I'm not going to be that.

The topic for my project

This is a lil late but for my project I'm gonna be writing about Native Americans you know and like be saying that they used to be all cool but now they aren't even around much anymore despite how cool they were. It's gonna be mostly about how things were then and now with them if you know what I mean homie dogg.

For my paper I will be writing about the history of Native American rights. My research topic will be on how their rights have changed from when the Europeans first immigrated here to how they are now. My research question may just be something like "How have the Native American's rights/laws changed since our first encountering with them?" or something I like that. I do think I have a good amount of information to write about it but having more is never a bad thing. I found out a lot on their land being taken away and their gaining of rights. So if I can build up from those two things from the 1800s to now I think the paper will turn out really well.

Tis be a free post with FANCY words from WW

Alright so now I think I will talk about something I very much crusade in. That thing is dance dance revolution. When I was in Singapore there were people lined up in that arcade. I mean, what is up with Chinese people and dance dance revolution? Those people are sure protege's at that game. I mean whenever I decide to play I screw up so hard that the Chinese person I'm playing is just thinking I'm affronting them and messing with the machine. It's truly not my avocation of choice. I can't even give a tacit definition of what I'm trying to say right now. Those guys are sure erudite on dance dance revolution. I'll tell ya that.

Usually for me, when I lapse into a battle of dance dance revolution I'm not too militant and my demeanor is rather low. I am just too much of a pariah to become good at dance dance revolution. I just feel as if I cause a raucous from trying to hit the little steps when these other guys I'm playing are just doing backflips and getting perfect scores. I am surely not a prodigy at dance dance revolution.

My research update

Well I've been doing my project on Native Americans and mostly their rights and such. The majority of what I'm writing about has to do with from what the Native American life was like then and how it is now. For example; I'll say how in the 1800s they were being forced to move out of their land and now their worst dispute is simply something such as discrimination and rituals.

Most of the sources I'm getting my information for this project is from .gov, .org, about websites, etc. I haven't necessarily been looking out for it but I think all of my sources are pretty non bias considering no signs show it was written by someone affected by these situations and they are seemingly professionally written. Something that worries me though is if it's really going to be okay that my sources rely mostly on the internet and not some other outside source. There's nothing that I'm really worried about at the moment.

Free Post

Considering I currently have nothing better to write about I will just discuss how my break went. It was pretty nice when I finally got used to it but then I was already having to go back to school. Other than that I got a guitar. A Martin D-18 which is like my baby now and I will nourish it and care for it until the end of time. It's the bee's knees.

The only event I took place in during break that involved me actually going outside my house was that I went to a concert with local bands playing and at first I wasn't really looking too forward to it just cause it was one of my friends wanted me to go because he was playing and that was the only reason I went really but a couple of old friends showed up too and we had a hoopla. I tell you it was quite the extravaganza. While we were there we also drove to McDonalds and had some incredibly low quality food.
