Literacy Narrative

For my literacy narrative I don't have much ideas on what to write about. I can't really say I have had lots of changes in the way I write in the past. Maybe I could write about influences rather than just an assignment I had in school. I can talk about how I've been influenced by my friends and songs I listen to. My friend Chris has taught me how to write in a more serious and personal manner from our extensive past conversations over text messages in which we talk about our personal made up beliefs and things more detailed than just saying we talk about politics. Other things that have changed the way I write could simply just be teachers correcting me on run on sentences and grammatical errors. Though that is just something that changed the way I write on graded assignments and schoolwork, not really outside writing which hasn't really changed much because I haven't been doing it a lot lately or long enough to actually experience change.

I can somewhat see I have many things that have somewhat changed my methods of writing from taking notes today but it doesn't seem to be anything major or something that can fit into a story like the narrative we read in class. I've never really had daily assignments for writing like she had had in her story. I even think that much of the ideas that I have that I think have changed my style of writing is just something that changes the more I advance in age and not something that someone else has affected. That's where my problem is, the lack of experience with anything or anyone actually interfering with my writing. Even though I am going through a tough time thinking of an idea I am sure one will eventually come to me. For now, I am still stumped on the subject. Hopefully I can find an idea soon because I am running out of time and I need to get good grades for this year. An intense session of meditation shall clear my mind. I will continue on and soon find the idea that I will need to write about in my literacy narrative.

  1. Are you talking about me? Im just wondering because we have never had an extensive conversation. I find this blog post to be fairly confusing to me.

    2. No, it's another Chris I met outside of the school on which we currently attend which shall go unmentioned.

  2. I think the text messages thing could work! And I am glad to see you really considering this, as that hasn't always come across in class. You don't need a situation that's just like one in the narratives, just something that has affected you as a reader or writer and that you can connect to a vivid scene. Let's keep talking about this in class.
